2023-2024 DWMHA Online Registration Opens July 25th

We are excited to announce that Registration for the 2023-2024 season will open July 25, 2023 @ 10:00AM

 

All Fees for the 2023-2024 season, including registration, conditioning, tryouts and Rep Team fees WILL NOT be increasing for the 2023-2024;   however we are anticipating an increase for next season due to rising costs

 

***IMPORTANT CHANGE TO NOTE THIS SEASON***

Conditioning & Tryouts must be paid in 100% in full before player goes on ice, if they are not paid by cut off date, player will not be allowed to participate, these amounts are no longer included installment payments

Coaching Application 2023-2024 now being accepted

Coaching applications are now being accepted for the 2023-2024 Season. We are requesting that anyone who is looking to coach next season, either head coach or assistant coach complete the attached form so you can be added to our coaching database for next season.

Coaching interviews for competitive teams will be scheduled at a later date and candidates will be contact.

This is a reminder that the Dartmouth Whaler Minor Hockey Association will be holding it's Annual General Meeting this coming Sunday June 11 at 6:00 p.m at the SPCA Building - 5 Scarfe Court, Dartmouth

DWMHA 2023 Introduction to Being a referee session - May 27, 2023

Did you know that officials are the most valuable member of the team during a game? Have you ever thought about becoming a referee or wanted to know more info about it?
Dartmouth Whalers will be hosting an introduction to being a referee that includes one hour info session for parents and the individual followed by a one hour on ice session. This will allow both parents and the individual the get a better understanding of what is involved in being a referee and what is involved in becoming on before you commit to it this season as well as a chance to ask questions.
WHEN: Saturday May 27
 
           Ages U13-14 11:00 to 12:00 (please arrive by 10:00)
           Ages U15-18 10:00 to 1:00 (please arrive by 11:00)
 
WHERE: RBC Dartmouth
Players are to bring skates and helmet

Dartmouth Whalers AGM- Notice to Members

The Darmouth Whalers Minor Hockey Association (DWMHA) Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on Sunday June 11, 2023 at 6pm. Meeting details will be released closer to the meeting date.
 
2023 is an election for the following positions:
(1) President
(2) Vice President
(3) Secretary
(4) Director of Operations
(5) Director of Recreational Hockey
(6) Director of Risk Management and Discipline
(7) Director of Development
 
PLEASE NOTE - We are looking for candidates for the Nominations committee - if you are interested, please email nominations@whalers.org. I would like to form this committee (2 members, plus the past president) ASAP. All nominations for electoral candidates must be in 21 days prior to the AGM. 14 Days prior a qualified list will be presented to the membership.
 
We are also looking for candidates for our finance and audit committee. If you are interested in this committee please send an email to the above email address as well. If you would like to see any bylaw changes this must be done 21 days prior to the AGM. Please email secretary@whalers.org if you have any amendments.
