September 21, 2023 - Recreation Hockey Update

Recreation Balancing will begin on Saturday, September 30 at Shearwater rink. This first session will be a skills/skate session. Session times (groupings to be confirmed by September 28th).

·    U11: 8:00 – 11:00 am

·    U13: 11:00 am – 2:00 pm

·    U15: 3:30 – 6:30 pm

U18 Balancing dates have yet to be determined.

We are in great need of volunteers to help with on- and off-ice tasks during balancing:

·    Player check-in

·    2-deep in dressing rooms

·    On-ice assistance

Please email Brian Bruce (recdirector@whalers.org) if you are willing to help with any of the above roles.

FRIEND REQUESTS: Players playing recreation hockey are able to make up to 3 friend requests. Please input requests via this link: Friend Request Form

We also wanted to make you aware of the following important items:

• Parents are NOT ALLOWED in the dressing room at any time, approved volunteers/coaches only.
• Parents will not be allowed in to tie skates, we will have volunteers who will be looking after that for any player that needs skates tied
• Goalie parents will be allowed to help with goalie with their pads but are not permitted to enter dressing room.
